Yesterday we all went out to one of the outer islands, Enemanit, and spent all day there. It was wonderful, the water was so clear, sea-shell sandy shoreline, and the wreaks in the water. Going snorkeling (or just looking into the water) we were able to see a plane and helicopter, it was incredible. It was a very relaxing day, swim, eat, sit, swim, eat put on sun screen. Then do it all over again.
After a nice relaxing day, we have finally stared orientation. The past few days have been great, and I am sure will be much needed, and missed after school starts. However I don't feel like I have done anything productive ( that is because I haven't)
A few people have emailed me, or previously asked questions about where I was going and what I would be doing. Well I am here and can finally answer most ( some, maybe just a few right now)...
Molly and I are living together, sharing an apartment with two other girls. We are upstairs in a blue cinderblock building. It is on campus, fairly close to the classrooms. Maybe 100 strides, but my legs are short... SO... not to far. Looking out our Window we are facing Home, and we have a Million dollar view. We can see the sun rise every morning, something I never thought I would enjoy. The Ocean is about half as far away as the classrooms. Worth the living conditions.
This morning, I woke up not feeling to swift but after a few Advil and a little more rest, I woke up and went to work out at the wellness center at 5:30. There were 6 of us that did the Insanity workout this morning. It is well named. I am already hurting and its only been a few hours.
We have had meetings all day about school and campus rules, what to wear, ect... And we just finished with a few team building activities. They are always fun. In my opinion. But with this weather, we all headed in to the AV room ( Or the AC room to cool down)
...But why the title...
I came to be flexible, I came to serve, I came work for God. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am the new Fifth Grade teacher :).
